Let's see how to disable or limit the number of entries recorded by the article review tool.

WordPress: The article review tool

WordPress offers a tool for reviewing articles. It is a history of the different versions of the article published or saved automatically.

The constants are to be defined in the file wp-config.php located at the root of the WordPress site, before the line /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */.

WordPress: Disable revisions

It is possible to disable completely the article review functionality by switching to false the constant WP_POST_REVISIONS.

// Disable Post Revisions
define('WP_POST_REVISIONS', false);

WordPress: Define the number of revisions to keep

The maximum number of article revisions is defined by the constant WP_POST_REVISIONS. It is therefore possible to configure the latter with the following code.

// Specify the Number of Post Revisions
define('WP_POST_REVISIONS', 6);

WordPress: Change the automatic backup time

By default, WordPress performs automatic backups of the post you are editing every 60 seconds. It is possible to change this delay with the following code.

// Modify AutoSave Interval
define('AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL', 120); // Seconds
